Emerson has a great sense of purpose, and that’s something I could really embrace as a teacher.

What wows you about Emerson?
How the community makes you feel like you’re part of something special

In one word, what is your working style?
Scurvy

How would students describe you?
That I make learning fun. Or that I know a lot about pirates. It’s usually one of those.

If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
With some sort of mind ray, I can make people understand where each other are coming from…and also to get the Guardians to win the World Series (there are things that only seem to happen with the help of superpowers).

Favorite artist or band?
The Pixies

What do you do when you’re not at Emerson?
Going on adventures!

Who/what inspires you?
Writers – they must have a way with words because they always sound so wise when they say things

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
I know these are fighting words in these parts, but Ohio Buckeye at Handel’s
