What year did you start at Emerson?
2025

Why did you want to work at Emerson?
I am a 30+ year educator with experience as both a STEM teacher and educational administrator. I joined Emerson as a substitute teacher in the fall of 2025, and from the very beginning, I felt a strong connection to the school and its community. When a long-term middle school math teaching opportunity became available for the third trimester, I jumped at the chance to be here every day. I had genuinely enjoyed each day as a guest teacher, and that experience confirmed for me that Emerson was exactly where I wanted to be. I was excited for the opportunity to become a more permanent part of the community and to contribute my experience, energy, and love of teaching to Emerson.

What wows you about Emerson?
All of the people! There is a genuine sense of kindness and community here. The students are eager to learn, teachers are collaborative and supportive of one another, and administrators are encouraging and engaged.
