Your Support Fuels Emerson’s Future.

Everything that makes Emerson School special—curious minds, joyful learning, meaningful connections—exists because of the generosity of our incredible community. It’s this collective support that helps our students grow and thrive. Parents, grandparents, alumni, trustees, faculty, staff, and friends—you make Emerson extraordinary.

Tuition lays the foundation, but it’s your generosity that brings our vision to life. Your support fuels what makes Emerson extraordinary—engaging classrooms, faculty excellence, enriching student experiences, and expanded access through Financial Aid. Every gift helps us go beyond the basics to provide a truly transformative education.

Your generosity directly supports the experiences that shape our students into compassionate, creative, curious, and confident lifelong learners. With your help, we continue to build a school where each child is known, valued, and inspired to reach their full potential.

Thank you for being an essential part of what makes Emerson thrive!

Emerson School is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All gifts are tax-deductible as allowable by law.

Credit Card

Gifts can be made securely online here. We accept all major credit cards as well as Apple and Google Pay. Please consider supporting the Emerson School by also donating the credit card processing fees.

Many companies offer corporate matching gift programs that match their employees’ charitable contributions, often doubling or even tripling the original gift. It’s a simple and powerful way to maximize the impact of your generosity. Please check with your employer’s HR department to see if they offer a matching gift program, follow their process to submit your request, and let us know that the match has been initiated. If you need a gift receipt or additional documentation, please contact Suzan Duenyas at sduenyas@emerson-school.org

We’ve partnered with Double the Donation to maximize the impact of your support. Please use the search tool below to see if your company will match your donation and to access the forms, guidelines, and instructions that you need to submit a matching gift.

Recurring gifts are an easy, flexible, and paperless way to support Emerson School. You can choose to give monthly, biannually, or annually, whatever works best for you.

Your recurring gift can be directed to the Annual Fund (supporting daily operations), Athletics, the Academic Programs, or General Scholarships, including support for Financial Aid that directly benefits Emerson families.

You can set up recurring gifts to the Annual Fund or Financial Aid using our online donation forms. Just select the “Monthly” option when completing your gift online.

To learn more about specific areas you can support, please contact Heather Asteriou, Development Officer, at hasteriou@emerson-school.org or call 734.665.5662 ext. 310.

Many donors choose to give appreciated stocks as a meaningful way to support Emerson School while potentially maximizing tax advantages.

To make a stock gift to Emerson, please email the following information to Terry Langston, Development Director, tlangston@emerson-school.org

  • Your full name, mobile phone number, and email address
  • Estimated date of transfer
  • Name of the stock being donated
  • Number of shares to be transferred
  • Your preference for how the gift should be designated

Providing these details helps us accurately track the stock once it arrives in our account and ensures you receive proper acknowledgment and documentation for your gift. Terry Langston will follow up with the broker-dealer details you’ll need to complete your stock transfer.

There are a variety of planned gift options that allow you to make a meaningful charitable donation to Emerson while receiving financial and tax benefits. For questions or more information, please contact either Terry Langston, tlangston@emerson-school.org or Heather Asteriou, hasteriou@emerson-school.org. You may also want to contact your financial advisor or a legal representative to assist you in this process.

Make a Tax-Wise Gift from Your IRA

If you’re age 70½ or older, you can make a tax-free gift of up to $100,000 each year directly from your IRA to Emerson School. This is called a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), or charitable IRA rollover.

Even though the age for required minimum distributions (RMDs) has increased to 73 (and will rise to 75 in the future), you can still start making QCDs at 70½. A QCD can count toward your RMD and reduce your taxable income—all while supporting Emerson’s mission.

Moreover, a donor may designate Emerson School as a beneficiary of their Individual Retirement Account (IRA), allowing all or a portion of the account to be transferred to the school upon their passing.

Contact your financial advisor for further details.

Other Ways to Support

Did you know that thousands of companies provide incentives for employees to volunteer with organizations like ours? Did you know your volunteer hours could help raise funds for Emerson—at no cost to you? Thousands of companies offer volunteer grant programs (sometimes called “Dollars for Doers”), where they donate to nonprofits like ours when employees volunteer their time. For example, just 10–20 hours of volunteering could turn into $100–$500+ in donations from your employer!

Here’s how you can help:
  • Ask your HR department if your company offers volunteer grants.
  • Log your volunteer hours according to your company’s process.
  • Choose Emerson as the benefiting nonprofit!

We’re also registered with corporate giving platform Benevity, so it’s easy to find and select us. Thank you for making a difference with your time—and for helping us grow our impact! Please use the below search tool to see if your company provides volunteer grants or Paid Volunteer Time Off (PVTO) programs and to access the forms, guidelines, and instructions that you need to participate in them.
