Tuition And Financial Aid

Without state or federal funding, tuition and gifts provide 100 percent of our school’s operating budget. But as four decades of Emerson families and alumni will tell you, an Emerson education is one of the best investments you will ever make.

2017-2018 Tuition

  • Kindergarten: $16,550
  • Grades 1–5: $19,795
  • Grades 6–8: $21,525

Tuition refund insurance is available and provides a safeguard in the event of family relocation, employment change, injury/illness, or other unexpected change. See the dropdown below for more information.

Additional fees include $35 Emerson School Parent Organization (ESPO) annual dues, and fees associated with classroom activities and/or field trips, which vary by grade and classroom. Contact Admissions Director Lisa Psarouthakis for more information.

Financial Aid is Available

If you’re considering Emerson but cost is a barrier, please apply online for financial aid. A wide range of aid is available depending on each family’s need—whether great, small, or the majority who are somewhere in between.

More than $450,000 of Financial Aid is Available

The amount of financial aid a family is eligible to receive is determined independently through the FACTS Grant & Aid Financial Needs Assessment. Each application is then reviewed by Emerson’s Financial Aid Committee, and individual circumstances are considered. Families will know the final amount of aid offered to them before being asked to complete an enrollment contract.

To apply, please complete the FACTS Grant & Aid Financial Needs Assessment linked below. You will need to have your most recent tax return and W2s (even if it’s the previous year’s).

Note: The application reflects 2016-2017 tuition. This will be updated with 2017-2018 tuition numbers when finalized, which may not be before the FA application deadline. Families will see any associated changes to FA in advance of the re-enrollment contract deadline in March.

Important Information About Financial Aid
  • Admissions decisions are made independently of financial aid considerations. Emerson School admits qualified students without regard to race, sex, religion, national or ethnic origin, or physical handicap.
  • Emerson does not offer merit- or achievement-based financial aid.
  • Only students with signed contracts are eligible for financial aid.
  • Receiving an award in a given year does not guarantee an award for any subsequent years.
  • Denial of an award in any given year does not preclude an award for any subsequent years.
  • Awards are allocated by a Financial Aid Committee, which meets by early March to determine awards for the upcoming academic year.
