New Lower School classrooms
unveiled at Open House

A Bright New Future Built

February 10, 2006

Ann Arbor - February 10th was an evening of school-wide anticipation and celebration. The six new Lower School classrooms were unveiled to nearly 700 students, families, and friends during a rousing Ribbon Cutting party.

Students waved their light sticks. They jumped for joy. They decorated Emerson t-shirts with autographs and friendly messages. The gym put on its party best with balloons, enormous inflatable play equipment, and festive tables.  The Library rocked with the sounds of the Middle School Jazz Ensemble. Throughout the school there were activities to tickle everyone's fancy.

The highlight of the evening was the ribbon cutting ceremony in the Library. Head of School, Patricia Adams, raised her scissors in celebration and students and families dashed in to see the new Lower School classrooms.
