Fifth Graders Head to Lansing
A Lesson in Government at Work
September 2009
Lansing - Joyce Gerber's fifth graders traveled to Lansing for a look at state government in action. The class viewed Senate activities from the Gallery and was recognized by Senator Liz Brater (D-Ann Arbor) from the Floor.
Governor Jennifer Granholm, taking time from busy budget deliberations, met with the class and joined them for a memorable photo in her office.
The vote on this trip was unanimous - thumbs up!
