Five Easy Ways To Be True to Emerson School
We encourage all of our families and their relatives, neighbors, and friends to participate in
these simple programs. None of these programs cost you any additional money; the companies
involved are supporting schools such as Emerson. Checks are mailed directly to Emerson
throughout the year from these organizations. If you have any questions about these programs,
contact the Development Office at 665-5662 ext. 116.
1. GROCERY CARDS
We all need to eat, making this one of the easiest ways to help local businesses support our
school.
Buy a Busch’s or Kroger rechargeable grocery card from ESPO. You can purchase cards for $5
from the Office, or email us at espo@emerson-school.org. When you shop at
Busch’s or Kroger, RECHARGE the card. You can recharge the card for the exact amount of
your purchase, or for any amount to a maximum of $500. 5% of the amount recharged on
the card comes to Emerson. You can use cash, a check or a credit/debit card to recharge
the card. Recharging may be done either at the cashier (in line) or at the service desk, but
must be done BEFORE paying for groceries. Use the card to pay for your groceries.
When the value runs down, just recharge the card again!
2. OFFICE DEPOT
Office Depot continues to offer their “Back to Schools” program. Every time you shop at
Office Depot, Emerson receives 5% of all sales. At this time, there is no end date for this
program so please continue to mention Emerson School before your transaction is
processed (Emerson ID# 70048567) in order for us to receive the credit. If you do not have
Emerson’s ID number with you, the cashier can look it up before the sale is made.
3. GENERAL MILLS BOX TOPS
Hundreds of General Mills products have a pink Box Tops for Education label. Cut and
save these 10-cent labels. Deposit the labels in the collection box located on top of the
ESPO mailboxes near the Lower School entrance or drop them off in either office.
4. INKJET/LASER PRINTER CARTRIDGE RECYCLING
Emerson earns a cash rebate for recycling cartridges. Special prepaid envelopes and boxes
for inkjet and laser cartridges are available in the office. Emerson can also provide you
with envelopes and boxes for use in your place of business.
5. TARGET
If you shop at Target stores with a Target charge card, stop by the customer service desk to
designate Emerson School to receive 1% cash back on all of your purchases. Target’s
contribution to Emerson will be automatically calculated each time you use the card. Easy!
